Mannlicher 8mm???

Can any one tell me what this rifle is worth? someone told me it was a 95/34 Mannlicher-Steyr. I don't know anything about it. Any help would be appreciated.

Likely a straight-pull Model 1895 short rifle (stutzen) converted to handle 8x56R ammo.

Some indication as to other markings would really help a lot.

Don't have any photos uploaded to internet and don't know how to post them right from my hard drive. Have to dig out the gun to see other markings, but pretty sure there isn't many, the only reason I know it'sa minnlicher is because of the registration papers.

Looks like a Hungarian 35m or a 98/40 Mannlicher. Is it 7.92x57mm or 8x56r?

It doesn't look to me like a straight-pull action at all...
Look at the handle. Interesting sporter anyway.

That'd be a cut-down Gewehr 98/40. Built in Hungary and used by the Germans in WW2.
