Just digged out 7 box of Hornady 155 gr Match from my ammo stock, those should close these groups @ sub MOA since the Scout have a 1 in 12 twist, will bring it back this week @ le RN... JP.

In the paper work, Steyr Mannlicher garanty 1.5 MOA... Guess they are right, joining the best group of the day with Nosler Accubond 165 gr... 10 shots @ 100 yards = 1.1 MOA.... JP.

JP, what is the last picture in the first post supposed to show? I'm always pleased with one-hole groups...that one looks like a zero-hole group! :)

Nice rifle. I am a Steyr Scout fan, and always find myself smirking when I see pictures of one of those hideous Ruger scouts! Mine is identical to yours...same colour stock, same bolt handle, and I even use that same scope when trying out loads in it. I have mine in QD rings so I can easily swap back to the Leupold scout scope for everyday use.

Congrats. It's good to see a post about someone enjoying their guns, instead of complaining about problems with them!

Where did you guys buy your scouts from if you dont mind me asking? I have one as well, but am looking for one with the set trigger for quite a while now to replace it with, did either of yours have it?

I believe the scout is also manufactured at the USA plant as well now, I am trying to stay away from those rifles as well.

Mine was bought new from Epps 5 or 6 years ago. No set trigger, but a fantastic trigger nonetheless. Package with case, Leupold scope, etc.

I had no idea they were building them stateside now.

Who sells them now? I haven't seen any on a dealers website for a long time.... maybe I'm not looking in the right place ?
Irunguns has 12 or so in stock on their US site, I am waiting for information on them.

If I find one with the set trigger mine will be up for sale, sorry shameless plug

I bought mine around the same time, I bought a sauer since that has the set trigger and it is an option I really want on all my rifles now if available.

Steyr, Glock, HK, SIG, CZ etc have had USA plants for a while now. I have had a bad experience with CZ, Glock and Steyr so far that was made in the USA, Their european counterparts have operated flawless however
