I'm liking a Voere Mauser 98 type in 270 Win. right now but a Savage 99 has been a reliable hunting companion for years. I don't think there are any bad choices on your list!

I think Sako-Tikka are the best factory rifles.
I agree with Gatehouse about custom built rifles though..... :)
You get exactly what you want with a custom built rifle 8)

Yep, although I got a thing for BLR's. I still voted for Sako / Tikka. The one thing about Browning is that I've heard of some bad warranty service in Canada from them but also from most of the US gun makers.
What? No votes for Norinco?

My favourite is Sako, I'm with Claybuster, I wish they made the Finnlight in 260 rem.
What is wrong with the 6.5x55 :?:
Nothing really except that Sako makes the Finnlight in 6.5x55 in the longer IV action. The .260 would be on their shorter III action. If I have to take the longer action I'd rather have a .270 Winchester.

:D Other!! RUGER no-doubt! Presently own Remingtons, Winchesters, Savages, and Mausers. But the one I always grab on the way out the door is my M-77. Getting enuff miles on it to start to look old, but never has let me down. :D :!: Actually have two. My favorite is an old tang saftey .25-06 and the other is a brand new .257 I got last fall. It's still in the box. Gonna have to break it in someday
