manufrance rapid 12gauge pump

Picked up a shotgun awhile ago.Some markings are fusil rapid brevete SDDG
France et etranger,Made in france cal 12 choke -chasse.Other side of barrel has Manufrance-saint-etienne,acier special-parachrome,chamber 70 underside
of receiver has PI 1114xx and rapid.It appears in very good condition,has a
28" vented rib barrel.Wondering on it's age and approximate value,more for curiousity than anything else.Can't find much info on it anywhere on the net
so any help would be great.Thanks Rick

I think you got a nice one here. If I recall well, it was a shotgun of the Perfex lineage but in pump action, made in Saint-Étienne, France.
The barrels were made by hammer forging.
I tried the semi-auto version of the series and it was light and centered between the hands, making for a very responsive shotgun. Didn't have the chance to try the pump action model but if it has the same characteristics I think you'll enjoy it.

Both Marlin and SKB made guns on this pattern. My buddy has a SKB with 26" MOD barrel in 3" magnum. He won't sell it for love nor money.
