Maple Ridge Armoury barrel accuracy?

Copying and pasting my recent post from the ATRS board on my MRA barrel accuracy...would love to know what others are getting as well.

Barrel: 18.6" Maple Ridge Armoury 5R Guardian Pencil Barrel, 223 Wylde, 1:8 twist (the weight of this barrel is 26 oz.)
Conditions: Shooting almost directly into a 18-23 km/hr wind, off a bench with bipod and rear bag, scope at 8x with distance at 100 meters

Round #1 - Bulk Federal American Eagle 55gr FMJ

Impressions: About what you would expect - some good (1.52 MOA) and some bad (3.43 MOA). Looks to be around the typical ~2 MOA that this ammo gives. So no knock on the MRA barrel here.

Round #2 - Nosler Match Grade 60gr Ballistic Tip

Impressions: Definitely pleased to see how well the Nosler stuff performed. It at least proves these MRA barrels are capable of sub-MOA with some decent ammo.

Round #3 - Hornady ELD Match 73 gr

Impressions: Disappointed this was marginally if any better than the bulk AE 55gr FMJ stuff I got at less than 35c/round. Not sure what to make of this as a 1:8 twist should have no trouble on 73 grainers, no?

Lol. Thanks! Do they make their own barrels? Use someone else’s blanks? Retailer or manufacturer or both?
History?
I doubt they make their own barrels since they said themselves they don't test fire them. No barrel manufacturer in their right mind would skip test firing.

We do test fire our barrels as proof of concept during prototype stage. We do not test fire each and every individual barrel. All barrels that go to market are brand new, unfired and this has worked just fine for the last 2.5 years.
