Might need one of these for the rifle I'm building the wife as she's just got her rpal now.

What would you guys, the manufacturers and the ar gurus figure is the best balance for light weight and a smooth shooter, in regards to barrel length?

Edit- she doesn't like my 10.5 colt iur because it's kinda heavy.

With the new NR receivers/guns hitting the market I'm surprised that there isn't a 20" option.

I'd only guess that guys will be moving on the NR barrels....

(FYI - your www site doesn't load properly on my computer)

A 16.1" mid length would be a soft shooter and the pencil profile is very light.

Rifle-length vs mid-length in a 18.6" barrel?
I've been reading online that rifle length would be better.
Anyone has info that would clarify it? Trying to make sense out of it.

All other things being equal, rifle length should be marginally softer shooting and mid length should cycle a wider range of quality of ammo.
