Marathon Military Watches

Abuse is not the fair word for the toture I put my one watch through....my wife swears I could break a diamond I am so hard on my kit......

Glad the OP is getting good posts

Money really well spent!!

I recommend a dive band and have a few extra pins tucked away ;-)

That's pretty affordable as far as Swiss mechanicals and auto's go. There are cheaper options but they wont stand up to daily abuse like a Marathon will.
Nothing really Swiss about em. If you think legally stamping something made in USA or made in Canada is wishy washy. Swiss or Swiss made means china

I understand how the 50-60% made clause works with Swiss watches. It is a Sellita movement if I am not mistaken, so not in house by any means. But you're going to pay over $3k when your talking modified movements and over $5k with in house stuff as an entry level.

Loving the tritium glow for illumination. Plus the orange glow mark at 12 O’clock. Solid watch. It’s a work watch for me.

I sort of think of it as the real deal that many Tag watches are trying to mimic. Yes I have both. I prefer my marathon. Size at 41mm is perfect.

Only negative is the height. You have to be careful not to bang stuff. But once used to it, it’s not an issue.

Great watch. Glad to see them getting some more attention.

Did you get the work marked one? I received mine in December.

Have had my TSAR for well over a decade and wouldn't trade it for the world. It has been such a stellar piece. I use and abuse it through daily life - showers, swimming, and all. Never a hiccup. Tritium has been a blessing against standard lumes, and the functional bezel gets used throughout the day for timing. Certainly are cheaper, there's no doubt there. But it sure has been a pride to own.

They advertise on their website as being made in Switzerland. They have contract with a watch maker there.

So what exactly would that mean? I confused as to what qualifies as Swiss made.

These are neat watches. I had an MSAR with the DND clasp which was really cool. Can't wait for the 43mm versions... hope hope.

I refuse to pay +$500 for any quartz movement watch.

$600 for a good quality Swiss mechanical is OK for me.
I do wish the TSAR was still a $500 gov watch, but if this one were to die, I'd probably still buy another knowing the value. Have purchased more expensive watches over the years, but none have been as well thought out or useful.

Everything I've purchased has those nitpicking things. Scratches too easily, misaligned or useless bezel for timing, poor lume, etc.

This one has been compliant free.
