being 65,my eyes just won't focus on the typical iron sights anymore -welding a washer on the rear sight greatly improves the ''notch'' type by creating a sort of ghost ring.I found Marbles makes a ''Bulls eye''replacement for the ladder type buckhorn rear sight-only $16 too.Cabellas is the Canadian dealer-not sure if they have them or will bring them in though.I also found that a dab of of flourescent orange nailpolish makes a much more visable dot for the front sight-so the combination of a ''ghost ring ''rear sight and a orange dot on the front sight meant I can use open sights
