Perhaps I can kick things off this month...stepping into the way back machine. Just acquired from a great Gunnut here, a Canadian Snider-Enfield (antique but still a milsurp). A Mk II* 3-band rifle - 1864 lock date and issued originally to the 36th Peel Battalion of Infantry (now part of the Lorne Scots).

Need to find an original ramrod, but darn pleased with this - my first Snider.

Nice firearm. Markings are clean and clear. A great piece of History from Great Britan's Glorious past when Victoria Regina ruled and it was said...... "The sun never sets on the British Empire".

Hi,

Here's my start to 2013! A couple WWII Classics 100% original and correct.

German WWII hi-power, thanks to my friend here on CGN who sold me this, and thanks to David (Drm3n) for all the help with hi-power mags and other information.

Most of these hi-powers have seen heavy use, and are rumored to have been popular with the Waffen SS. These pistols always remind me of the famous ambush at Poteau, and one of my favorite photographs of the war:

Next is the elusive Ithaca M1911A1. It was a long journey to find one that I was satisfied with.

Still waiting on a couple more pistol transfers with the CFO. Always searching for more WWII firearms in top condition if anyone has any leads. ;)

Awesome pistols Steve!!! I suppose I can re-post mine in the correct section this time lol.

Here's my newest acquisition - it's an original Remington Rand 1911A1 manufactured in 1943.

Great stuff so far this month! I just got a very nice 1936 Tula TT-33 from Weimajack that I'm quite happy with. Not the rarest gun in my collection, but I was afraid I'd missed the boat on pre-war Tokarevs so I'm very glad to have it. Matching numbers, though the barrel and the one of the mags is renumbered, and it came with a post-war leather holster and lanyard. I've got lots of ammo so I can't wait to see how it shoots!

Three things I managed to accomplish with this purchase...
#1 Get my very first Lee Enfield
#2 Get a Canadian made firearm
#3 WWII dated

The Chilliwack show was a good one this year, I scored big-big with a Series 22 Koishikawa Type 38 Arisaka and a really nice 1886 Lebel (1925 manufacture). Judging from what other vendors were asking for similar rifles, I did very well...was kind of a ##### to lug these long rifles around all day, but it was worth it! (Cool Eddystone, HH!;))

Got a very nice 1918 Terni M91 Carcano from a board member to replace my not very nice example. Matching numbers, good condition, good bore - very happy with it!

Also got a 1916-dated German S98/05 "butcher" bayonet for a Gew 98 from a board member - quite nice shape and a very impressive blade on the end of the rifle!

Sorry for the lousy photography - I swear every time I move the house has worse light for photography than the last.

Boer 1896 Carbine
Picked this old boy up last weekend.

Geez, G. Where are you finding all these Boer Mausers? They all seem to inhabit your part of the world. Any personalization on this one?

And, overall, some very nice stuff this month. Thanks for sharing.
