Can anyone who has handled the new Mares Leg from Henry give thier opinion of it??

I have pretty much decided to get one, and since it is in rimfire I can afford it. So far I think Henry is a decent company, I had a Golden Boy that impressed me with the fit and finish, and the wood was really nice as well.

I see that Epps has some on thier website, any other board sponsors have them in stock??

Frontier has a .45 and a .22, not sure I like the brass. Does anyone know how 'hot' you can load the .45 long colt in the brass receiver?

Actually it says they don't have them (.45) in stock, when I click on the .22 it gives me a not found error.

Yeah I noticed that Frontier had them on their main page but link doesnt work and they are not in with the other Henry rimfires avaliable. Have dealt with Frontier before and was happy.

I think I will give Epps a call when I find out how much my teeth will cost me tomorrow afternoon.:(

mine shipped today, I'll try and throw up a video when I get it out to the range.

Shipped today? I haven`t even heard back from Wanstalls yet, hope they didn`t forget me.

First (and only it seems) vid of the Mares leg in 22LR:

I think it looks better without the hood on the front sight

It looks pretty nice but I wish they had gone with the octagon barrel like on the .45....would have cost a little bit more.

I shot mine today for the first time. Sweet little rifle, the build quality was very good and it was a lot of fun to shoot.

I tried some 22 shorts and the hammer hitting the cartridge is all you hear. Its pretty neat.

Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with my saddle ring.

We just received our first shipment of these (sold out) and more coming in about 10 days so we are taking back orders. $299 and $825. Phil.

Its good to see that there several options.

Sadly my teeth are gonna cost me close to $2000 if I do everything they want me to.

Perhaps by the time I can afford one, the novelty will have worn off and I can get a used one on the EE for cheap.
