Mare's Leg in 45 colt Q

I am contemplating getting a Mare's Leg and was wondering (to those that have one or knowledge of such)- Can this gun handle heavy loads? ie "Old Vaquero" loads that surpass 44mag pressure.

I am thinking, since it is rifle based, it will but the brass receiver makes me wonder.

i wouldn't push anything made with a brass reciever .

there are several company's making similar rifles with steel recievers , that also chamber the same rifle in 44 mag , so 44 mag pressure levels should be ok .

one company , rossi , chambers their full sized 1892 based rifle in 454 casull ( which runs around 65,000psi ) .

I ended up getting a 44 mag, but wanted a 454 badly. I could not get a good answer on chamber pressures, so I decided to go with 44 mag and hot 300 grainers.

It is ordered. Prophet River told me it will be in next week. I. Ordered it a week and a half ago. I hope it comes in on time.
