im not sure if this is a good place to post this, but i'll try..
Lately i have been looking at these short lever guns like the ones Ciappa and Rossi make. And i was wondering what were your thoughts, which are better and why?
I see that Chiappa Mare's Leg is around $1000 looks a little better then Rossi, and it's a take-down version. Not sure if all models are take-down and which ones are actually available in Canada.
And then there is Rossi Ranch Hand that goes for $600 but has cheap looking wood and according to some reviews some parts of the receiver are made of soft metal..
I personally dont know much about lever guns and would like to hear some opinions on whats a better buy. I'm more interested in .357/.38 or 44Mag. calibers, and a take-down option would be a huge bonus.
