Mares leg ?

can anyone tell me are mares leg lever actions considered a rifle in Canada? and is a special permit required etc or are these just registered as a less than 18 inch barrel...

if you do a search , there is a thread talking about this .

according to the thread , even though the overall length is 24 inches , because it requires 2 hands to operate it is considered a nonrestricted rifle .
