2 mares legs, both not loading properly. Chiappa 357, cleaned and oiled but the loading port seems to be too short, I have to almost use a lot of force and a stick to cram the cartridge all the way in, my manly fingers too thick to fit that deep into the loading gate. I don't have the same problem with the marlin 1895 or the rossy .44, I'm guessing its not me.

Rossy ranch hand .45, if loading ammo I have to use the tip of the next bullet to push all,the ammo all the way in, if I don't and only load one at a time then the bullet slides back where the rim sits under the loading gate and no more bullets ago in. Otherwise once loaded it seems to feed and eject well enough

Chiappa (357) is definitely hard on the fingers, but not as bad as how you describe, fingers don't need to go into loading gate, just push round from behind... still, I can't get the last round in no matter how hard I force it, so I just don't bother. I figured it's just because it's new. Glad it's not just me.

I dunno how their loading gates look but if it's a single piece of spring steel (like Marlins) then try pressing it firmly all the way to the opposite side of the receiver a few times. It weakens the spring & makes it (the Marlin anyway) a LOT easier to load.
