Marine 870 Barrel Swap

Does anybody know if you can change out a marine magnum 870 barrel for another standard 870 barrel? I ask because i have a marine magnum with the 18 inch barrel and i want to be able to "effectively" take it water fowl hunting int he fall so i need somethign that i can put a choke in.

Can this be done?

The marine mag is the same as the WM except for the finish.
