Mark V® Synthetic ???

i have MARK V® SYNTHETIC 300 weatherby mag.my rifle has a fluted barrel.all the other ones i see have the #2 conture.why might this be...

hmmmmm good question, because it is impossible to flute a barrel after it's screwed onto the action :D

maybe phone Weatherby

someone from Weatherby tampered with that rifle and fluted the f**king barrel! get to the bottom of this and report back to us asap :runaway:

well after a little hunting around with them.they found out that this was out of there custom shop.and trhe store adds up.the gun was made for a fly in drop off hunting trip.and the old guy i picked this rifle up from did say he was going to do a trip last year, but things didnt work out(health) for him.
well i think i made out good on this rifle he only put 11 rounds throw it. weatherby wouldnt tell me what they charged him for the gun.but i told them i got it for $700,and they were quite shock it as sold for that price.i know its set up to be a lite weight but i would like to find a nice wood stock for it.

K Y Jelly. That's a good one.

Got any pics of this anomaly? (your gun ;))

Is it an Ultralight model?

does anyone out there know if it is possible to get the barrel fluted by a gunsmith? or is it only a factory job?

:)

Looks like a factory flute to me, but it has the POS synthetic stock, so I doubt its an ultralight...

Shoot the hell out of it!
