I'm contemplating selling a Colt HBAR A2 Sporter (20" barrel) made around 1989-1990 that I've owned since the early 90's. It was made right after the assault weapons ban in the US around 1989. It's missing the bayonet lug, but has the pre-ban lower receiver (same machining as the M16 without the auto sear hole). This rifle is mint and would have well under 1000 rounds through it - probably closer to 500.

I haven't used it in years and if it's worth big bucks I'd probably sell it. I'm out of touch on the market value of these. I'm looking for some estimation of the market value. I can post pics if it would help.

Thanks

Is the front pivot pin a double screw or a push-pin like the rear?

Does the magazine release have a "fence" around it or is the side flat?

These 2 questions are the base regarding pricing on Colt AR-15s

Yes, it's a large hole slab side. I figured it would be worth more being a Colt than some of the other brands. For $1000, I'll just hang onto it. Here's a pic...
