reenactment and two bands (short) firearms
I think the two bands are not banned from reenactment outright but they are not welcomed for shooting (blanks) in formation (mainly infantry), specially when you are in the rear row and you have to shoot over the shoulder of the guys in the front row...that's where that it becomes a security issue as the face and the muzzle are too close for comfort...members of Artillery units are just fine with their shorter rifle.
I picked up two Enfields (3 bands), a Euro arms, and a Parker Hale..in around year 2000 and I paid, used $450 and $550 if I recall, It took me lot of networking.

Ryan, I can tell you that the P58 is preferred by shooters. It shoots better at long range than the three band rifle. Re-enactors will be outbid by shooters. I still think it's worth $750.00 to ?????.

Last time I sold a three band it went for $4,that was a couple of years ago.You also have to watch whether the barrel is PH or spanish.
