Marking on a k98 floor plate.

So I did a impulse bid on ebay on this k98 floor plate that was covered in cosmoline and wrapped in paper and this is what I found:

As you can see all it has for external marking is a 68 and weird squiggly thing. The inside just has a few random single digits. Can anyone figure what the squiggly marking is supposed to be?

It’s a crown over a script style letter. B or G maybe. Imperial era German marking.

As mentioned, it's an Imperial German cypher marking. Can't really tell due to the quality who's cypher it is, but here's a table that should allow you to identify it:

Weird, one picture was of the whole outside bottom of the plate, guess I did something wrong.
