Marks on bolt

I just got a new 9mm AR and the bolt has some marks on the top. Is this normal? They look a bit like locating marks but I'm not sure.

100% correct....

BTW EVAN THE CDN you would really have to strike hard to mark both, the idea of those stakings is to simply prevent the screws from getting out of their respective holes.

How about Damaco...er ....Colt Canada...they do the same thing to the same thing part on CF bolts.
