I hit the range on Friday with my first reloads and my first round went click. I posted a question in the reloading section, (http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=450899), but this question is more MBR specific.

After the round failed to fire, I waited sixty seconds, then ejected the round. Later I tried again and it still failed. However this let me get a look at what happens to a round chambered in my rifle. It marked up the bullet pretty good IMO. My round's OAL is 2.746".

Do these marks look like anything I should get fixed? Rough chamber throat etc?

The rest of my reloads worked fine and I put 6 rounds into a 2.125" group at 100 meters with my unmodified M14s wearing a B-square mount and 3-9x32 Leapers scope. I wanted to get a baseline of how accurate this rifle was before I start working on it. Does that group show promise that my rifle can get down around 1 MOA with some work?

I'd like to get the gun to a Hungry clinic somewhere within a few hours drive of the Owen Sound area. I want to see how long the B-square/Leapers holds because it's already paid for and just to piss everyone off. :p

And finally, the dancing grenade because my daughter wants to see it. G:

Are these rounds your making to 308 dimentions or 7.62? What is the headspace of this rifle? Is your barrel straight or slightly miss-aligned? Some pic's of the chamber and also the feed ramp's would be nice. It could be many thing's and if it still show's up after checking these idea's. Then I would have to say to attend a Hungry clinic or ship it out to M14Doctor to fix this problem. Also to shrink those group's even more contact Robmcleod82 for his oprod guide and watch your group's shrink in half!
P.S. This is for your daughter!

Thanks Satain,

I make the rounds as 308, never had the headspace checked. Judging by the brass the the chamber might be um, generous. Some have quite a ring about .25" from the rim but after sizing and shooting my loads with only 40 grains of powder the brass still looks good.

I'd like to go to a Hungry clinic ASAP, I just don't want to drive 7 hours one way to do so. I missed the Barrie one in January by about a week. :(

Thanks for the emotes for my daughter, she loved them. The puking one makes her laugh uncontrollably. :puke:
