Good afternoon gentlemen, I’m am working on a Marlin 120 pump gun for a friend. I’m looking for the dimension showing in the picture as someone has welded the original end. I just want to ensure it’s in the ball park for the proper dimension. Long story short is that this rod jams up against the bolt after firing 3” loads, but seems fine with 2-3/4”. I’m guessing that it’s a bit to long but wanted some sort of baseline to go off. Tried buying a new one but Numrich arms, western gun parts don’t have any. I did however replace the 2 spring in this system with new ones from Numrich. If you could help me out with a measurement that would be much appreciated. Thanks

It's good to keep an eye on Numrich as parts do come back into stock but from your picture it looks like the old part has a slight upwards bend to it with wear markings to the ends of them I would be tempted to try to take that bend out and see if it helps any.

Hey guys wow my apologies for the late reply, life went crazy this week. Thanks for the reply wobblyhead, I’ll keep an eye on Numrich site, and I’ve cleaned up the end straight again. PJS it’s much appreciated for taking the time to take the gun apart and snapping a photo and measurement for me. I’ll hopefully get back working on it again this weekend. I hope both of you have a great weekend. I’ll post again on my results. Thanks for all your help!
