Marlin 1893 30-30

Hi Guys
I stumbled across this Marlin and ended up trading away my M14 clone for it. It's serial number is 443### which would date it around 1914? I was wondering what it would be worth.All parts have matching numbers. The bore very good with strong rifling. I just field stripped it and there is some minor rust on the mag tube and very minor pitting. If anyone has some tips on how to take the surface rust off I would appreciate it.I plan on firing it this weekend so wish me luck.

I would use #0000 steel wool & a light oil to remove the surface rust.

Thx for the tip, I'm going to try Bronze Wool and some oil first on the surface rust. If that doesn't work I'll jump into steel

I have one of those, serial is 1212.
