Marlin 1893 spring door

Does any one know where I can purchase the spring door for a 30-30 Marlin 1893 model. Numrich appear to be sold out. Also would ITTAR apply for this part. Thanks.

Years ago I got some used parts from Ellwood Epps.
And try Western Gun Parts. I bought a used, original lower tang and screw for a Winchester 92 there. So ya never know.

I think the part you want is the loading gate? And it may need a spring and attachment screw. And it's not a cartridge-specific part; the one from a .25-36 or .38-55 or whatever will fit.

michael s: The Marlin model 1936 (now 336) evolved from the 1893. It may be possible that a loading gate from a 336 might fit...or be adapted to fit....your 1893. Whether possible or not, it might still be worth researching.

Thanks Alex, that certainly gives me another avenue to check out. My Marlin was manufactured in 1901 and still shoots beautifully. If the gate was original it certainly lasted a long time.
