marlin 1894 25-20

I think i'm in the right forum group for this gun. I'm looking for info on a marlin 1894 in 25-20, 24" round barrel, serial number is under lever loop on the metal strap and is 3 digits, marlin and model number on top strap on 2 lines, 25-20 near receiver with a w or m on barrel can't recall.
From the research i've done this appears to be very early in production but there doesn't appear to be much info from this era.

I have a Marlin 25-20 and dates 1905. I will look at the serial numbers when I get back home Tues or Wed. I like the way it feels and how accurate it is on gophers.
