Marlin 1894 44mag

Shouldnt it be the "clown's" that are paying $800 over retail? The sellers aren't forcing anyone to pay that much.

Either they’re both clowns or neither. This one comes up every time a new desirable semi comes out for some reason especially bad. The WK Gen 2, Siberian and T81 market flooded at first with folks who seemingly only bought only to try and flip a profit on the fact they made a margin out of having a part of the first order.

I’d say good for them I guess if someone’s willing to pay that much, it’s certainly not a humble behaviour to capitalize and prey on the emotions of your own people but ultimately nobody forced the buyers either and if you have that kind of money to waste for the convenience of not having time or energy to do your own research, I guess that’s your world.

What I don’t understand is with lever guns why the emphasis on new-new is so insane. The used market is saturated with still in box, practically new lever guns, a lot of times still on par so far as quality, features, even exact makes and models in some cases. I see it a lot more with Henry rifles but it’s starting to be a real thing with Marlins too.
