Marlin 1894 Recall??

Funny thing.
How many times do we read on here of people complaining about the "high" prices on the EE? They invariably end their rant by saying, "Why would anyone pay that much for a used rifle, when they can get a new one for not much more money?"
Well, I can tell them why. Marlin lever actions have been performing virtually flawlessly for over a hundred years, until the last about three years!

Now youve gone and done it Ben.. just raised them prices on the EE ;).

They dont call them old reliables for no reason.. they will prolly out last the newer guns... with a bit of maintenance.

Don't know if you folks up there get A TV channel called CNBC, but they did a documentary on safety issues with Rem 700 rifles that have resulted in fatal accidents.
Apparently this defect was known since this models inception and rather than spend 5.5 cents per rifle to fix the issue then, the problem was and has been ignored up till the present. US military and US police tactical units know of this issue.
Does remington care? ask those folks whos lives have been forever altered.
The US Government cannot force a recall due to the 2'nd Amendment. Arms manufacturers are self policing down here.
Do issues with Marlin Firearms now manufactured by Remington surprise me? Not by a long shot!!
as former Remington Employees were quoted on this documentary " the Remington way"
