Marlin 1894C for Cowboy Shooting?

Thinking about getting into this sport, but must justify a dual purpose purchase.
I figure the Marlin 1894C (18 1/2" barrel in .357 mag) would make a good deer rifle in the bush.
I know there are rules concerning sights for cowboy shooting.
Does this gun qualify?

Yes it does, that is what I have, you will probably want to use 38spl as you will not be able to get 10 rds of 357 in the tube. Usually the stage will call for a max of 10 rds. Welcome to the sport

Not quite "into" yet, still need a pair of Vaqueros, but that will come with time.
 
HOWDY. check out the Waterloo Revolver club they have matchs and several directors are CAS shooters. Oh did I mention that I may have some cowboy crap err things to sell.
