Marlin 1894CSS

I just bought a Marlin 1894 CSS in .357 magnum. (love the stainless steel) This is my first levergun. What can I expect from this gun???

Fun, and lots of it.
I have no first hand experience with the rifle or cartridge, but I'd feel confident in its ability to kill a whitetail or black bear at 80 yards.

What are your expectations?

You can expect me to be green with envy...Lots of fellas in the states would give their left n*t for your rifle.
I had some unexpected surprises when I bought a new in box 1894C last winter.
Cracked stock at the tang, a front sight mounted crooked, barrel band so tight I nearly broke the screw trying to loosen it...etc etc.
EXPECT Remington to have built your rifle.
I sure EXPECT you to post some pictures!

I've got an 1894c in .45 colt, but not stainless.
When my eyes are up to it, I can consistently hit an 8" pie plate at 200 yards. With pistol rounds.

They'll probably bury me with this gun, because I ain't giving it up before then
