Marlin 1895 Cowboy JM stamp 26" octagon barrel 45/70

I sold mine last year for $1100 in like new condition. I didn't advertise it but had three guys cold call me after I posted in a thread like this. An unethical guy could have started a bidding war and maybe gotten another hundred or two out of it. Wish I'd bought a half-dozen of them when they were $600!

I never bought one could have many times.

Why you may ask?

Had nothing to do with the price it was because I want one in black/gray laminate stocks & stainless steel.

Marlin never made them that way no matter how many emails I sent it just didn't happen. :(

Capitalistic Pig...........:p:p:p

The last time I saw them listed in WSS they were $1199.00 plus taxes..........I too sold one for $900.......the biting, pinching SOB. My hands are just too big for the Marlin levers and that level of recoil, even with moderate loads.

Yeah... I felt a little greasy... but he kept pestering me and "one-upping" his brother-in-law...

I kinda liked the rifle... it fit my tiny, delicate hands to a Tee... and my willowy figure just bends gracefully under the recoil.

I used to just put 2 fingers in, then I realized that is why Gawd invented tools that cut metal and stick it back together...any size and shape you like.

...willowy

you two made me lol :)

I wish I had the money for one of those right now! That would be an absolute dream next to my 1894 Cowboy! Keep it (until I get steady work again) so I can buy it. :p
