Good day all. I have a marlin dark in 44mag with a vortex diamondback 1.75x5 BDC scope. I cant seem to hit anything at 25,50 or 100 yards. I had it bore sighted, started at 25 and worked my way up. The issue I'm having is the first shot. It's okay, but everyone, after that, is missing the backboard by a foot and a half and hitting the top of the berm is the scope I chose not good for these rifles, or are they not known for their accuracy?

My guess is something is loose. I've had a factory optic rail loose on more than one occasion. I'd start with the bare receiver and torque everything properly from there up, one bolt at a time.
Some guys use blue loctite all of those fasteners, some guys say it's not necessary and you should never do that...I don't see the harm, but that's up to you.

Yes, I did tighten all the screws that did not seem to help
I suspect the scope may be at fault, we have had issues with Vortex scopes having wandering points of impact.
…Quick test as you do have “iron sights”’on that rifle….just sit down with a good rest and shoot a 5 shot group at 50 yards. Should do about a 2” group if you do your part. Then return the scope and buy something that doesn’t fall apart internally.
