marlin 1895 questions

Hi guys, im curious here. I have a 1895GS on the way and first I'm wondering how complicated if even it's possible to change the lever to a big loop and if it makes that much of a difference to use if i have to wear gloves.

Second I like the looks of the sbl stock more than what's on the gs. Is it possible to change the stock? And if so do i need the same lever as the sbl?

The lever is literally one screw, so is the butt stock.

Although likely more cost effective to buy the SBL

Yes after some more research I'm realizing that's the case though this rifle has sentimental value it will be best left as is.

A good rifle for the southern gulf islands, not likely to have long shots, depends on local regulations I suppose.

I bought mine while in Powell River, then moved where alpha predators were absent.
