Here's some pics of my Marlin 1895 SBL. I had originally ordered one from WSS in S edmonton, but when it arrived I realized the rail was crooked. When I found out WSS Calgary had a few I had my good friend check them out and he handpick one for me.
Got it mailed to me and took it to the range.... And then the lack of QC on Marlin's part began to shine through! I could not feed shells into the tube magazine because they hang up on the feed ramp. Sent it to Reliable Gun parts in BC and in a week and a half they sent it back, fully warrantied, thanks guys!
Took it out, shot it a bunch with no failures, thankfully. When I brought it home to clean it last night, more bad news. The machine work I witnessed when I was cleaning the lever assembly and bolt were appalling! I could do better with a plasma cutter! Nothing affects the function of the rifle, but man am I disappointed. She's a real shooter so I hope all is smooth from here on out.
