I went down to my PO Box in the States today to pick up the new stocks.
When I got back home I pulled the Marlin apart installed the new butt stock and started to install the new fore end when I realized that the fore end was way too small.
I called Marlin but they where already closed for the day so I'll call tomorrow and find out what they are going to do for me.
I called Marlin the next day and talked to Joanne there. Today I went back down to my PO Box and picked up the new fore end that she had sent me.
The rifle is now all together with the new black/gray laminate stocks on it.
Joanne told me that I and another fellow where the only people in North America that they had sold the stocks too. The other fellow had recieved my fore end and I had recieved his smaller one.
He told her that he wasn't interested anymore and didn't want to bother with the stocks and she told me that they weren't going to sell anymore because it wasn't worth the hassle.
So from what I understand these are the only set in Norht America...
Thanks I am actually changing all of my older rifles to new stainless steel with black/gray laminate stocked ones.
Just this month I bought a stainless steel LSI Puma M92 in 454 Casull that I am ordering the b/g laminate stocks right away from Gunstocks.inc for. I also bought but they haven't arrived yet a Browning BL22 22lr in s/s b/g laminate stocks and a s/s Marlin 917VSF 17hmr which comes with the same b/g laminate stocks.
I already have a s/s Rem 700 LSS which is the b/g stock in 375 RUM and I also have a LSS (b/g laminate) stock ordered from Reliable in Vancouver to switch onto my s/s Rem 700 BDL 300 RUM.
I even have Ruger's b/g Hunter grips on my 2 s/s Bisley Vaquero's in 45 Colt which are the only 2 sets sold seperately into Canada by Ruger.
I don't know what it is about the laminate stocks and s/s that get me going but I am hooked big time...
