Marlin 1895 Trapper SBL

I just picked up a new unfired in box Marlin 1895 trapper sbl. The fit and finish is pretty good the only thing I've noticed is the carrier with the bolt closed seems to move up and down easily and rattles a bit but everything Cycles smoothly and functions properly my Marlin 1895gbl does not do this is this a warranty issue or is this just a normal condition with some of these

Can anyone look at their Trapper and see if the carrier moves up and down I can't see anything in there that would hold it tight

The bolt should not move as you describe when it’s in full lock-up. I’ve tuned many Marlins over the years.
Take it completely apart and see what’s going on in there. Check it with a spent cartridge preferably...or loaded (but don’t shoot it).
If it rattles or is loose, you got a serious issue. Keep me/us posted
