Hi all, I have the chance to pick one of these up and know nothing about it. Posted about ammo in that section and received info on that and one comment of value of the gun. I know this is like asking how much a hen weighs, but any input on value, and any issues of this firearm would be helpful.

Thank you,
Randy

All I know is their mag tubes often broke or wore out and are very hard to find replacements for - something to carefully look for when inspecting it.

I had a 27s in 25-20 and it was a fun little shooter. As mentioned, the mag tubes are a weak point as they are subject to a fair bit of wear from the pump action. The fore stock is also a weak spot and can split on the side right were the mounting screws are. Parts can be tough to get, but there are a few out there.Very few.
The model 27s came in both 25-20 and 32-20

I agree with the mag tube issues.
Had one quite a while back.
Gave it to our local gunsmith and he had it for well over a year trying
to locate some mag tube kibbles.
He called and asked that I come and take it from his inventory as he had
plum given up searching.
This I did and put it in the now defunct Interior Buy & Sell.
Sold pretty darn quick.
Then, woodn'tchah know, next gun show I found a complete mag tube assembly....................f:P:2:
Interesting is the fact this one had a scope base on it too.

Gift it a good look over.
As mentioned, they are a neat kritter.
