Marlin 30-30 or .35 Rem

Happy Easter everyone, and especially Ted! I reckon you have put in some serious overtime this week!

Doug

Same to you, Doug!

You're right on the OT, but I will make up for it this coming week. :D

I have seen several 760s done to 358, including one that Supercub had rechambered by Paul Rogan here in Whitehorse. They work slick as can be.

FYI check out the current issue of RifleShooter on the stands now. There is a fairly good article on the current specs for both of these cartridges. The article is titled "Extra Special". Apparently the LeverEvolution has arrived at the 32 special now. Good read. The cover hype is "Rebirth of the 32 special".

It was about 11yrs ago when I got that 35rem rechambered. Paul Rogan did do the work and I consider it a very good conversion. It is easier than going to 35Whelen as the ejector for the shorter 35rem is in the right spot for the 358W. The Whelen would require the ejector to be moved farther back. Just replace the 35Rem mag with a .308 mag and you're set. Seems to me the cost was $175. I would certainly do that conversion again, but wouldn't do the bubba thing to a nice 35Rem. The one I had was solid but fairly used.

Wait till your buds find out I'm originally from the center of the universe Ontario. They'll all want to hang out with us.

Now we're talking COOL. :dancingbanana:

Damn, I feel that there might be a good ole fashioned Alberta redneck lynching in the near future

You have now lost shotgun status and are going to ride in the back of the truck with the dog.

I'm serious
