Hi.
Not sure where to post this question.
My father has a Marlin 30/30 with a scope. Only have 4 bullets put through it and it is in excellent shape. No marks, scratches or dents. It is a lever action side eject. It was purchased brand new and is just over a year old. The scope is a Bushnell Sportview, which he paid $250 for brand new. He doesn't hunt anymore and is thinking about selling it.

Just wondering if someone could tell me what kind of price he might be able to get for the rifle and scope if he decides to sell it

That Scope is worth $60, I sure hope he didn’t pay $250 for that Scope, it is bottom of the barrel.
The gun might sell for $450 if someone likes it.
Gun/Scope/rings altogether, ask $500.

The cheap scope won't add value, it retailed for $60 (not $250)... your pictures are blurry, but the wood looks very plain... if the metal is in excellent condition, the rifle should fetch around $450.

Rifle is a model 30as and at least 24 yrs old as they were discontinued early 1990's. Marlin's economy version of their 336 with hardwood stocks and cheap sights. The scope was the bottom of the line for bushnell and adds no value. If he paid $250 , he got hosed . In top shape rifle and scope , maybe $450 but realistically maybe $400. Scope, maybe $40 itself.

Was thinking the same thing. Looks like a 30AS which sold for $250 with a scope 30yrs ago.
