Marlin 336 CS 3030 value

I am thinking of buying this and wondering what it’s worth? Ballpark?
Asking $800
Also there’s a screw in the stock and not sure if it’s supposed to be there.
It’s in pretty good shape other than a few scratches and scrapes.
Said he only fired a few boxes of ammunition through it.
336 CS model manufactured in 89 I believe.

Looks good to me, price is good. Made in 86.
If you're referring to the screw in the grip cap, I'm 99% sure that's factory.

Don’t look like it’s been refinished, but the fore grip has some tiger stripes , looks nice

I gave the asking price of $800 , it’s in nice condition except for the scratches.
I think it was a good deal.

Next up is an 1886 , I already got a pre 64 1984 in excellent condition.
So was thinking of adding a 1886 if I could find a nice one.
