Marlin 336 in Maple!

Hope the maple stock is stronger than the stock on my Remlin 1895GS which split at the tang after less than 20 rounds.
Not that stiff a load.
(52.5 gr IMR-3031, 405 grain Woodleigh Weldcore, Lee factory crimp die)
Gonna have to import one from Boyds.

I had the same problem with my JM stamped 1895 over 10 years ago, it split within the first 100. Marlin replaced it, second stock no problem. My friend Barry had the same issue with a Winchester in 45/70. Wood is not guaranteed in hard kicking rifles. Gravel will take care of you.
