Wanting to scope my first lever, it has what appears to be part of a peep sight on it. I was going to remove this bracket, when i did there is what appears to be a floating pin thru the receiver wall. Is there any reason why I cant remove the bracket?
Thx
Tim
nope, the bolt holds the ejector in so your good. maybe checkout some youtube videos on marlin disassembly and reassemble so you know how they work. marlin is probably the most simple lever gun that i can think of.
What you call a bracket, is half of a Williams Fool Proof sight. That base is a #94, as it also fits a Model 94 Winchester.
Keep it, maybe you can come across the other half of most any number Williams and it will fit, to give you a complete sight.
