Marlin 336 scope mount ?

Marlin rifles use a very simple, inexpensive one piece mount. One fits all, I think. I interchange between the 1894 44 mag and the1895 in 45-70. Looking at the 336 I would say the same mount fits it, also.
Any place that sells bases should have it, then use Weaver type rings.

FWIW, I use Weaver Grand Slam 2-pc bases on my 336 and 1895. Same idea as your basic Weaver, only in steel. I'm using Warne QD rings, so I thought the steel bases would stand up a bit better. Ordered bases and rings from Brownells.

Not sure why you would want steel bases and expensive rings on a 30-30. I've never had a bit of trouble with the alloy, one piece base and Weaver rings. As a matter a fact, I have always had excellent results with Weaver rings on many rifles. That's more than I can say about some expensive rings I have had.
Maybe you should venture up to Del Selins to get outfitted. He will give you straight goods on what is OK for it.

Well, it was only a suggested option. Personally, I switch between irons and a 1.5-5X scope on my 30/30 and find the QD rings ideal for that. Unfortunately, they tended to leave marks on the alloy bases I used to have, so I switched to the steel Grand Slams for marginally more money. While I think the Weaver system is great, I don't like their rings since they are prone to marking scopes. Guess everybody has different likes and needs, which explains why there's so many different rings/bases out there.

I picked my one piece base up at Bass Pro in Vaughan, Ontario. I see you are located in Kelowna BC so that info is not going to help you much....

Ya I was just wondering where people have bought them from ? I know im Kelowna and it always seems like i can never get up to Dels even though its only in Vernon...... Weird work shift so... but thanks for the info !

I like my marlin just as it was out of the box, but mine is in 35 rem. I have more than enough scoped rifles, and when I am walking the bush with only deer in mind I kind of like the traditional way, nothing fancy.
