Well, after a lot of searching high and low, I finally found a Marlin 336 XLR. Being that it is likely one of the last Marlins produced in New Haven, I'm assuming that it will be manufactured well.
I have heard recently that there were a few bugs in the 2009 and newer Marlins. What is a guy to look out for on these rifles in terms of a "lemon"?
Also, would anyone know if it is possible to obtain a large loop that is found on the 45/70 XLR? I know that Marlin is going thru a major restructuring phase right now, but any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
