But I'm not the best at finding things... and I know there's likely people on hear who enjoy doing that... so can anyone tell me where I can get the pieces to do this... minus the grip and sight I got that
Buy a full length xs weaver rail from brownells, strip and paint your stock black or OD green, buy a couple magpul rail panels and screw them into the stock, get some paracord and wrap up the lever, and finally buy a pair of magpul BUIS and attach them to the rail. You could probably buy it all from brownells. Also check canammo for the magpul stuff.
Ignore them, if you like it that's all that matters, it's not my cup of tea but it's also not my rifle.
If you paracord the lever, you better have small hands, the lever is pretty small as it is.
I don't care about the colour really... I just didn't want to destroy the original stock and forend... I already have the marlin... and I didn't even notice the paracord on the lever won't be doing that my hand won't fit
If you want to modify it to something 'Black ops' like,I would paint or stain the furniture (wood) a dark green or some such like you picture and Cerama-cote the metal and leave it at that with maybe a red dot on top, leave the factory sights on. IMHO you don't need the picatinny rails and for-stock triangle thing.
Please tell me you're not doing that to your Grandfathers gun. If its the one you bought and is a remlin then go ahead. Something about tacticooling an old design like the 336 just doesnt seem right. Funny, I've never seen it done to a 94...and dont want to.
