Marlin 336bl ?

Hi folks seen a MARLIN 336BL large loop lever action in 30-30 with a liminate stock and cannot get that gun out of my head.Anyone have one and what do you think of it? It sure is purdy! Price is $509.00 down here in the New Brunswick back woods. cheers!

my buddys got the one with the peep sight in 45-70 govt and he let me fondle it at the local range the action is smoooth and its a nice looking gun , i say go for it

I have one and i love it.The sights on mine are even on straight!. Shoots good at 100yds. Get down there and give it a good looking over before you buy it. I went through 4 of them before I picked one. I paid $604 shipped for mine about 2 years back. Sounds like a good deal.

I bought a new production 336BL for my pop last year. Nice rifle, functions smooth and reliably and damn near an MOA shooter with handloads.

Check it over extensively at the store, make sure it cycles decent without jamming and make sure the sight ramp isn't misaligned and you should be GTG.

I own one, got it before Marlin shut down the plant in CT when they 1st came out. Aren't many CT. made 336BL's out there. Love shooting it, eats the Hornady ammo really good.

I own the 45 70, I put ghost ring sights on it, I love it.

Yes I see that there were / are some quality control problems with Marlin so I will have to check the gun out closely.A roll of the dice if I go the mail order route tho.
