Hey guys,

Decided to move away from leverguns. Personal preference. I have a 336C, seen the range once, one-half box (10rds.) of .30-30 down the pipe but has been a safe queen since. Has a Skinner "Express" peep sight (blued) and extended front blade, Bear Tooth Mercantile SS follower and safety delete installed. Also had it in to Jason at GunCo. who checked it all over plus pulled the guts and smoothed out the internals.

What would be a fair asking price all things considered? Seeking a second opinion.

^^^^ Sounds fair.

A quick look at the wholesale on a brand new one would lead me to a suggested consignment price of about 500 bucks if I was selling it used on my rack.

PS - a quick check shows that Marlin only warranties the firearm to the original owner (like Savage) - in the mind of some that would require a further discount compared to the "price of new" - but maybe some don't care.

Thanks for the feedback. Since the price of everything new accounts to almost $1k, I'll probably just hang on to it rather than take a 50% kick-in-the-teeth with only ten rounds down the tube.

Check the price for a retail sale. Nobody will pay you more than what a new one with a full warranty costs. Start here www.cabelas .ca
