Marlin 39A Mountie value

Just doing some digging on price for a friend looking to get rid of a 1959 manufactured Marlin 39A Mountie. I don't have pics yet, but just wanted to get an idea of what the going rate is for one. From other reading I have done, most people swear by them as good, hardly little rifles.

Any info, pictures or stories would be greatly appreciated!
