Marlin 39A side mount

Hello. I need some help side mounting a Marlin 39A. The rifle was made in 1953. I just tried a Weaver #2 side mount but the holes do not match....I understand that Marlin included a factory mount with the rifle. Anyone have a suggestion? A supply source would be appreciated very much!
