So there I was. At the range with a variety of ammo, ready to enjoy a new-to-me Marlin Golden 39AS lever .22. Love everything about the rifle.... minus the ridiculous lawyer trigger. Is there any way to lighten the pull weight of the trigger on those ???? I'm not looking for a target trigger. But I'm confident even my 10/22 had a lighter trigger before I dropped in an aftermarket hammer. It really is holding back the ability to shoot a decent group.

Hayya FurrDubbya, send that peskie triggered Marrlyn dizz way.
Heck, yewse can include shipp'in.
This way it won't bugzs'ya anymawr,
don't-chah-c. 🍺

LOL! I was about to do that, considering the pull weight. But throwing a cable around the trigger and the other end tied to my car bumper.....well....the trigger moved so I figgered there's still hope before sending it yer way.

There was an American gunsmithing video that explains Marlin 39/97 in great detail.
Not sure if it's still easy to find. The tech explains how all the parts interact.
