hi there, im new to this site, im looking for a marlin 444p rifle for sale. If anyone knows where i could get one would be much appreciated...thanks

You should find alot of them for sale used when folks find out the superiority of .45/70.

Each has their place. I picked up a Marlin 1895GS in 45-70 but still kept and use my 444S. The 444 with handloads using the Hornady 265gr, has performed well on Deer, Black Bear and Moose.

Hi. You want new? Epp's is listing several. $659.45 for a standard blued rifle. $860.83 for an SS XLR. Mind you, your local gun shop can order one for you. Be prepared to pay up front though.

The OP is looking for a 444*P*, which is the now-discontinued "Outfitter" version --- essentially the same configuration as the "Guide Gun", but chambered in 444. Like the original Guide Guns, 444P's have ported barrels, and were discontinued in 2002:

Marlin 444P (Outfitter)
Dates: 1999-2002
Serial Numbers, first two digits: 01, 00, 99, & 98
Barrel Length: 18.5"
Barrel Rifling: Ballard, 6 lands
Barrel Twist: 1/20
Note: Ported barrel

To the OP, have you seen this WTT?

444Ps aren't all that common, although I've seen a couple for sale over the last year, one of which I bought in like-new condition for $600, which I consider to be a very fair price.
